We’re thrilled to unveil a groundbreaking opportunity for Zimbabwean wine stewards, sommeliers, maitre d’hotels, and passionate hospitality professionals! The Gerard Basset Foundation and the ASI Association Internationale de la Sommellerie are joining forces with Sommeliers Academy to introduce a prestigious scholarship program!

What’s on Offer?

This fully-funded program spans a minimum of 6 months and is designed to elevate candidates to a level where they can confidently sit the ASI Certification 1 exam. With two groups set to embark on this journey—one in Harare and one in Victoria Falls—this initiative promises to be a game-changer for the Zimbabwean sommelier community.

Who Should Apply?

If you’re a wine enthusiast with a zeal for hospitality and a dream to achieve international recognition, this is your moment! Whether you’re a seasoned sommelier or just starting your journey, as long as you’re a member of the SAZ Sommeliers Association of Zimbabwe, a Zimbabwean citizen or legally residing in Zimbabwe, identify as African or BIPOC, and call Harare or Victoria Falls home, we want to hear from you! Minimum age is 18.
